Applications open for Project Officer
Lord Howe Island Board has an opportunity for a Project Officer to contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, built assets and provision of services to both the community and visitors to Lord Howe Island.
The Project Officer will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by performing operational and project management tasks. This includes coordinating resources, preparing reports, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring project outcomes are achieved within scope, on time, and on budget.
The role involves close communication with stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to facilitate information exchange and support project completion. You will also conduct research and analysis, track project progress, and assist with administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of the project.

About you
You will have strong project management skills, with the ability to manage resources, coordinate project documentation, and ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Essential requirements
- Current Class C (car) licence.
- Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills with a proven ability to identify issues and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated communication skills including ability to liaise with and foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly contractors and consultants.
