The Lord Howe Island Board is providing an updated area map for the African big-headed ant survey scheduled for this December. We acknowledge that the map distributed in yesterday’s Householder was from a previous survey conducted in May 2024, and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

The external delimiting surveys utilizing non-toxic lures (dog food) will take place on public land within the settlement this December. Any survey activities on perpetual leases have been coordinated with the respective lessees.
