Critical Infrastructure Program (CIP) – 30 May 2024 Update

Thank you to all those who participated in last week’s Critical Infrastructure Program consultations.

The Program team received valuable feedback and information to help inform the next steps of the Program and design concepts. A summary of ‘what we heard’ will be available on the Lord Howe Island Board website at the end of June / early July 2024.

You can view the information displayed during the information sessions and find out more about the CIP on our website.

Have your say – Join the Critical Infrastructure Program Community Consultation Group

A Community Consultation Group will now be formed as part of the CIP. The Group will play an important role as a forum to consult with local community members and business owners who can provide local perspectives and advice on matters relating to the Program.

The purpose of the Community Consultation Group is to:

  • Allow for the exchange of information between the community and the Program team
  • Provide a mechanism for gathering local knowledge and input into planning and delivery of the Program
  • Assist the Program team to identify local issues and discuss appropriate future strategies
  • Brief the CCG on the Program status and works being undertaken
  • Brief the CCG on engagement relating to the Program
  • Enhance CCG members’ understanding of the Critical Infrastructure Program.

To register your interest in joining the CIP Community Consultation Group, please complete the online registration form, or fill out a paper copy at the LHIB Administration Office.

Registrations will close at 6pm on Friday 7 June 2024.

Meetings of the Group will be held bi-monthly during 2024, and as required beyond that timeframe.

Meetings will generally be one hour and held online via Microsoft Teams. Where possible, some meetings will be held in person.

If you have any questions, please email the project team at [email protected].

Community survey open NOW

A survey is now open for community members to provide suggestions on design concepts and comments on key issues for the CIP.

Please complete the 5-minute online survey here by 5pm on Friday 7 June 2024.

Paper copies will be available at the LHIB Office and will be posted to those who receive householders via post.
