National Energy Bill Relief for households and small business
The Commonwealth Government has announced that all households will receive up to $300 and small businesses will receive up to $325 to help with the cost of their electricity bills in the 2024–25 financial year.
The first quarterly instalment of the Bill Relief payment will be delivered by the Lord Howe Island Board on eligible electricity bills covering the quarter July to September 2024. The Board administration is currently working with software providers to apply the credits in accordance with Energy Bill Relief Fund guidelines – invoices for quarterly fees and charges for the first quarter 2024-25 are due to be issued.
