Neds Beach shed and the area behind it will be closed and remain inaccessible until further notice. 

Due to the recent rainfall, a landslide has occurred and the calcarenite/sandstone rock wall behind the shed is unstable. The area, including the shed, will be cordoned off. 

LHIB asks the community and visitors to keep away from the roped off area and take extreme caution.

A landslip expert will be flying to the Island to assess the safety risk and determine actions needed. An update will be provided when further information is known and a plan is in place to address the risk.
